Living in the uplifting town of Wanaka in Central Otago, Jenn Shelton is inspired daily by her beautiful alpine surroundings. Blessed with a powerhouse vocal ability and a unique, soulful tone, Jenn’s versatile voice presents as an old soul, born to sing in a fresh, vibrant body.
With 7 years of passionate work in the Mental Health industry, and the creation of a successful album funded by the Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness working with the team on this Rock Opera project rings true to Jenn’s heart.
Jenn’s extensive performance and production history includes touring the country in theatre and performance troupes, and working alongside the likes of Ozzie Ozourne, KISS and various NZ Artists. Lead singer in the band No Reason, producer and performer in the SOAR stage show, Thriller in the Chiller, Shooter Jet Christmas Cracker, main character in Alfies theatre play, solo vocal singer at Coca Cola Christmas in the Park 2012 & 2013, Big Night In regional artist winner, composition for a Fringe Festival play and Jenn was also crowned 'New Zealand's Best Female Vocal' in TV ONE's Countdown to 2011.
Aside from her active performing schedule Jenn runs her own successful business in vocal technique, performance coaching, songwriting and stagecraft and has also worked extensively in Theatre in Education. With her compassion and understanding of Mental Health, her experience in front of an audience, and in behind the scenes production, her ability to coach all ages and stages of singers, and her unique, breathtaking singing voice Jenn is a force to be reckoned with.
