Declutter your cleansing and moisturising regime with Organic Jojoba. Prized for its amazing ability to nourish and heal your skin, Jojoba is a very effective treatment for a variety of skin conditions such as acne, dry skin, dry hair, premature ageing, sun damage, scar tissue and much more.

Jojoba oil carries a natural hypoallergenic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and analgesic qualities. It also contains vitamins A, D, E, proteins and minerals.

Many skin cleaning agents strip the skin of the sebum that skin glands produce naturally to lubricate the skin and protect it from drying out. Every time we wash our face and hands, even with plain water, we’re removing a protective layer of sebum along with dust and grime. The cold and dry air in winter and air-conditioned interiors dry out our skin at a faster rate than our skin glands replenish the oil supply.

Structurally similar to our own natural sebum, Jojoba has long been known for its ability to treat and heal acne and other skin problems. It is thought that jojoba 'tricks' the skin into believing that it has already produced enough sebum, and as a result, sebum production decreases. Over time, this reduction in sebum prevents further clogging of pores. Jojoba oil also reaches deep into the skin to destroy bacteria and dissolve dried sebum, whilst revitalising and soothing inflamed skin.

Jojoba oil has been found to be effective in giving considerable relief to people with bacterial and fungal infection, such as eczema and psoriasis. It acts as a moisturiser, relieving itching and dryness. It forms a barrier over the skin which acts as a protective layer, aiding the risk of secondary infections by prohibiting more bacteria infecting the area through inflamed or cracked skin.

Dehydrated skin is vulnerable to irritants that cause dermatitis and germs that are constantly looking for entry points into the skin. Keeping your skin hydrated by locking in the moisture and protecting it from the drying effects of the environment constitute basic skin care. Being a waxy substance, Jojoba oil can seal in the moisture and create an effective barrier to external elements. It is so structurally close to the secretion of the sebaceous glands in the skin that it is readily accepted and tolerated.

You can rub a few drops of Jojoba oil between your palms and apply it on the face and other exposed parts whenever you venture out and after washing your face every time. For a deeper moisturising effect, warm up a spoonful of Jojoba oil and massage it in after washing the face at bedtime and leave it on overnight. Pure Jojoba oil is fully absorbed into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth.

I actually use Jojoba purely as my cleanser, I wet my face with warm water and then rub a few drops into my skin, massaging any problem areas, I then use a warm facecloth and dab it over my face (relaxing me at the same time!) This cleanses my skin and moisturises at the same time.

If my skin ever feels dry I will just rub a few drops into it. Jojoba oil has cured my acne...I searched high and low for help, for about 15 years. This is the one!

Additional Info:

Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax extracted from the nut of an indigenous American shrub that goes by the scientific name Simmondsia chinensis, a misnomer as the plant has nothing to do with China. The shrubby tree still grows wild in the United States, mainly in the arid regions of the Southwestern states.

Direct from Argentina, this organic Jojoba oil is cold pressed in the La Rioja province, our supplier Eco Oils, works hard to create sustainable resources as well as providing employment for seasonal workers in a very poor part of Argentina.
